King Gori was the 57th Monster in the overall Grendizer anime and was the first Vega Beast to see action at the tail end of Episode 52 and was the main monster of the week through Episode 53; King Gori was the only beast to not carry the repetition of the name as seen with the other monsters to date. Possessing far more considerable super strength than any other Beast in the series, it was resistant to various projectiles, but having been an animal, King Gori has the natural fight/flight response to the presence of lighting or fire, it been override by Dantus' commands. King Gori was, of course, a nod to King Kong.

Once a normal Gorilla, King Gori went through the conversion process as other animals did; it had a Brown color Cybernetic armored with yellow outlines compromise much of its body, covering the upper torso, forearms and lower legs, wearing a helmet adorn with two yellow horns on the side and a driller on top; gray color fur is noticeable on the neck, upper arms and upper legs.

When the Vega Moon of Zeta 4 suffered an Industrial Mining accident, it unleashed a series of Cataclysmic forces that level the moon, triggered by the entire deposit of Veganium Alloy, the source mineral for Vegatron: as the Vegatron Radiation cloud descends onto the planet, the King along with the Population take shelter underground, with many civilians dying by Vegatron Radiation Poisoning. With all Vega life now dead on the surface, The King's advisor, Defense Minister Dantus, informs all hopes of salvation now lie with the conquest of Earth, to which the King replies it can only be achieve by the destruction of Duke Fleed and Grendizer. Dantus use his Vega Beasts, far superior to Zuril's Saucer Beast to fulfill this job, to which King Vega agrees to; The conquest of Earth now taking priority over the conquest of the Universe.

The News of the demise of Zeta 4 reaches Skull Moon Base, Zuril and Gandal been inform Defense Minister Dantus would take over the operation with his Vega Beasts; afraid to loss prestige, both take action and Mother Fortress leaves with Domo Domo for Earth before the Minister arrives, but unbeknownst to them, Dantus had warped King Gori in a capsule onto Earth Orbit, covering all 3000 light years distance in a single instant. On the Space Center, they only detected the Mother Fortress, which is course set to the Center itself, and Team Grendizer is deploy to fight them.

The ensuing Battle becomes a Dog fight Between Team Grendizer and the Minifo Armada, the latter been decimated by the heroes, forcing Gandal to launch Domo Domo; the Saucer Beast showed great ability fending off Grendizer's attacks, and during it fight, knock Duke unconcious, making him crash on the valley below; Koji and Maria follow, the former shutting the right leg off Domo, causing it to lose balance and misfired, though avoiding a second shot. It transformed back into its vehicle form and releases Saw Blades to cut Grendizer, but Hikaru intervenes, blocking its attack, and Grendizer avoiding it on time. The Mecha connects with Koji, but they are separated by one of Domo's missiles. Duke and Maria fire Screw Crusher Punch & Marine Cutter, ripping the Saucer Shells off Domo, Duke disposes of the Beast with (a rare) single Harken Staff, dissecting the Beast horizontally, the two pieces of the body exploding on impact with the ground. After the battle, Gandal and Zuril berate each other, but with Dantus always looming, they ready for the next attack.

Back on Vega, Dantus show the King the Manufacturing facility of the Vega Beats, once normal animals, increase in size and then been converted into Cyborgs; at that moment, it is reveal that the Mining facility of Vegatron in Vega itself had been compromise and about to enter critical stage – King Vega, along with Defense Minister Dantus, the remainder forces and the new sortie of Vega Beast board the planet on the flagship, King Vego, leaving the civilian population to their fate; the Fleet warping away over the Earth Moon orbit just as Planet Vega Explodes. The Flagship lands on the moon and Gandal readies to receive the King, while at the same time, King Gori's Capsule lands on Tokyo; Team Grendizer is once again launched to face the new enemy.

In the reception of the King, Gandal informs of the situation, to the mockery of Dantus, who expresses no faith in Zuril's Saucer Beasts, much to rage of the Science Minister. Dantus, believing the capability of his creation, allows Zuril to challenge him with his Saucer Beast, Guru Guru, who arrives at the same time as team Grendizer to see the Saucer Beast challenge King Gori, who comes out of the capsule. In the ensuing challenge, King Gori dominates the fight; proving to be impervious to Guru's weapons. Gori Punches Guru hard, causing damage to the hull in, forcing Guru to hide in it shell, this allows Gori to grab it and tosses him to the ground quite hard, Guru exploding on impact – the Destruction of Guru effectively marking the end of the Saucer Beasts for good.

King Gori then turns and roars a challenge against, a shocked, Team Grendizer and tosses debris at them; The team response, but soon are dispose rapidly, with Marine Spazer taken down and Hikaru herself been captured by King Gori; Duke tries to save her, but Gori blocks its attack, tossing Grendizer to the ground and ripping Grendizer's left arm in the process.

This mark the end of Part One.

In part Two, Duke tells Hikaru to stay calm, when a thunder storm hits the area and Grendizer, but forcing King Gori to retreat, with Hikaru in hand, and – pretty much in a nod to King Kong – climbs a tall building. Not wanting to use the Mecha's weaponry, which would risk Hikaru, Duke takes to rescue her by himself while Maria distracts the Beast's attention and Koji takes the Mecha back to base for repairs. Duke heads up the building via an elevator, warning Hikaru to be ready, but before Gori could stop her, she jumps at the hands of Duke and head back down with the Beast climbing down after them; the duo escapes on time when Maria drops rescue cables, avoiding been crushed, King Gori lashing out in anger.

At the moon base, Zuril reprimands Dantus for allowing the enemy to escape, but the Defense Minister retorts Gori has a kin sent of smell, allowing it to hunt down the enemy regardless of where it hides, another advantage of his creations over Zuril's and Gandal's Saucer Beasts, receiving the laughter and mockery of the King and his entourage in the room (ouch). Dantus then asks to permit him to go to Earth, the king agreeing they can't conquer the planet from the Moon base alone and orders both Zuril and Gandal to cooperate with the Minister, now ascended as Supreme Commander; much to the shock of Gandal, Zuril agrees, the victory going to the strong. As the fleet leaves escorting Dantus's transport, Gandal ask Zuril “why he decided to accept taking his orders?”, The Science Minister responding he wanted to learn the secret of the Vega Beasts, then take advantage from there.

Back on Earth, the Japanese defense forces take the fight to King Gori, but prove to be no effective in dealing with it than Team Grendizer, the beast been assisted by a new type of attack Minifos – Gandal wanting to send out an attack on the Space Center is overruled by Dantus, Zuril reminding the General to not act in haste. At the Space Center, Umon and Duke discuss how to find a weakness in the Beast when the alarms sounds off of the approaching enemy, with Grendizer still not ready to fight, Dambei suggest to use fire to scare it. Acting on the idea, the create a ring of Gasoline soak straws, once the Beast enters, they light up the ring, cornering Gori in, though Dantus orders it, via a command a computer bracelet; both Gandal and Zuril see this, both beginning to plot Dantus downfall. The heroes attempt to distract the monster again by calling its attention to them, but Dantus again overrides Gori and orders it to continue its march to the Space Center. The group then returns to base.

The Center takes defense measures, but these prove ineffective against the giant, with Beast trying to break the domes; Duke is inform Grendizer is fully repair and launches it to fight the monster for a second round; Grendizer knocks the beast off the damn and into the river below, been taken by the current, allowing the Center to launch the Spazers. Grendizer fights Gori in the valley below, with the Spazer providing assistance, the mecha combining with Double Spazer; seeing the situation, Dantus orders the Minifos to provide assistance – Gandal and Zuril follow suit on the Mother fortress, ignoring Dantus orders to return. As the fleet arrives, the Marine and Driller Spazer take on the enemy, destroying much of the fleet, but are surprise by the Mother Fortress, it retreats with the intent to make them follow to Dantus' transport, in the meantime, Gori overpowers Grendizer; the Spazers lose track of the ship, hiding in a lake, but stumble upon Dantus' ship. Maria drills her way under and through the transport, destroying it with Dantus still in it, as they return, the Fortress appears and lands next to the wreck; Gandal and Zuril enter to the command room, where they find a badly wounded Dantus who begs them to take the Computer Bracelet, but Gandal stabs and kills the Defense Minister, Zuril destroying the Bracelet in the process. Now without its master to guide it, King Gori loses control, allowing Grendizer to take the lead in the fight; Koji uses double cutter to cut the Driller in the head, while Duke finishes the out of control monster with Double Harken, slicing it; King Gori falls and explodes.

After the battle, the traitors inform the King of Dantus' demise, dying in combat, and are then ordered by his majesty to build a new base on Earth. With their positions now secured, the two shake hands, and plot for the future ahead.
