Karazana is the dominant female of the Leza Mob, a position that she obtained after the sudden death of her mother. After becoming the group's new leader, she ends up taking a roving male named Bazazi as her mate. While she didn't always approve of some of the things he did as co-leader (such as leading burrow raids on their neighbors behind her back), she still loved and cared for him very much. So when Bazazi died from an illness after an unsuccessful attack on the Udevu, Karazana was devastated.
After Bazazi's death, Karazana ended up giving birth to his very last litter: a daughter named Kiputo and a son named Kelele. Kiputo is sadly killed by the much more savage Komandoo Mob in a burrow raid one day and her other daughter Arafa is badly injured in the attack. Despite this tragedy, Karazana manages to stay strong for not only her children, but for the group as a whole. Her oldest son Jed temporarily assumes the role of dominant male, but he was obviously no use to Karazana when it came to breeding. Until an unrelated male managed to join the group, Karazana would have to settle for any roving male lucky enough to sneak past her sons. She does manage to have a litter after mating with a rover named Yousuf, but he sadly never gets to become to new dominant as he is viciously attacked and chased off by Jed and two of his brothers who mistook him for an enemy. Karazana berates them for what they had done, but they sadly never get to make amends as Jed and his brothers leave the Leza permanently shortly afterwards.
Karazana later dies from the same disease that took her mate, after which her daughter Arafa succeeds her as the new leader of the Leza.
And here we have my TLK version of Cazanna, a former dominant female of the Lazuli who appeared in the first two seasons of Meerkat Manor. Her design was heavily inspired by this piece of MM fanart I stumbled across on Tumblr.
