Azee is born into the Zama Mob to Pulika and Hamidi, the group's dominant couple at the time. When Azee is still a young pup, he and his family go out foraging one day and end up encountering a rival mob. In their haste to flee, the Zama end up leaving little Azee behind by mistake. Lost, scared and alone, a pup as young as Azee would've made an easy target for predators. Fortunately for him, Azee's cries don't fall on deaf ears and he ends up being found by Machanga, a male meerkat from the Udevu.

Not sure what to do with the crying young pup, Machanga takes Azee to his older half-sister, Raquell. Having recently lost a pup of her own, Raquell's maternal instincts took over and she adopted Azee as her own. The rest of the Udevu accept him as one of their own, and even Raquell's mother Maua takes a bit of a shine to him. Azee wasn't the only pup in the Udevu for long as his adopted aunts Malene and Zaidi later gave birth to a mixed litter of eight pups. Maua ends up saving them from a cobra at the cost of her own life, after which Raquell becomes the new leader of the Udevu.

Azee thrives in his new home and often spent his time playing with his new adopted cousins. He ends up becoming a babysitter later on when Raquell gives birth to two pups, whom Azee sees as his own siblings. He remembered very little of his old life in the Zama Mob and had no interest of going to find his biological family. They had forgotten him and left him to die, while the Udevu had saved him and took him in as one of their own. As far as he was concerned, the Udevu were his true family, and he ends up returning the favor to them when he saves one of Sofia's young pups from being left behind during a burrow move.

As close as he was to his adopted family, Azee wasn't destined to stay with them forever. After Raquell is killed suddenly during a burrow move one day, Azee takes to roving with his adopted uncles and cousins. He ends up spending less time in the mob as he used to, as he didn't see much of a reason to stay after Raquell's death. His frequent roving trips eventually lead him to meeting Acha, a meerkat who lived in a smaller Mob known as the Tota. After getting to know each other, he and Acha fall in love and run off together along with three other meerkats from different mobs, and the five of them find a nice patch of territory near a desert oasis to start a new mob.

Azee starts a family with Acha and lives a long, happy life in his new home, but he never forgets about the mob who raised him.

And here we have another one of my favorite KMP meerkats: Axel! In real life he died from tuberculosis and his mate went missing soon afterwards, but for my TLK/MM crossover I decided to have him live and father two semi-canon meerkats from one of the old magazine stories because why not.
