Sandhri the storytelling bat and Raschid the slumming prince walking along the riverbank. This was the frontispiece for Paul Kidd's story 'How the Ibis Bent his Beak' (as told by Sandhri) when it appeared in Mythagoras in 1990.

very good. I have the book, the fangs of something.

very good, is currently packed, so I cant just look at it.

one of the best furry books I have ever read. would love to see more stories of Shandhi

Great detail, and setting. I may be way off, but I see a simile between the fox looking at the bat, and the Ibis hunting the coy. :p

I forgot to grey-line in the scales under the light-ripples (as opposed to black-line like the rest of the scales). Very happy with it, though. Glad you enjoy it!

Blame Paul Kidd and his wonderful novel 'The Fangs of Ka'ath'. :) The short story published in Mythagoras was sort of a 'side scene' from the novel...Don't think it made it into the final cut.
