I just noticed,Ida refers to Daikarin as he, while Cookie goes with she. It is a bit hard to tell if they (going with that for the sake of it) are in drag or did the sex change, pec shape can make it hard to tell I've found. Are they now visually male or female?

Ida still Refers to Daikarins old identity, while Cookie refers to the new one. They have different ways how to perceive Daikarin.

Finally someone in this site that don't portrait those that don't use different pronouns as a monster.
I would call Dai a she anyday, I just don't agree with villifying those with different views.

I look how Ida finds Daikarin attractive despite misgendering her. It's clear that Ida has no ill-intentions when using male pronouns. Chances are that she's inexperienced talking with transgendered people, hence the use of male pronouns. The story takes place in 1997, so people are not as sole as we are now. Despite this, I like how Ida still finds Daikarin attractive despite thinking of her as male. Considering how Paipu had negative reception for crossdressing when he attempted to help Snuggly, it shows that Ida would not have minded back then.
It's very sweet how Cookie uses female pronouns the way you're supposed to do with a transgendered woman. It shows that she was very open minded for the time she lived in and her closeness to Daikarin. Also, Cookie showing signs of jealousy when Ida wonders about dating Daikarin. Hilarious.

It's interesting that Ida refers to Daikarin based on her old identity and not the one she has now, although I don't think she refers to Daikarin based on bad intentions so I have no problem with that.
