"The lesser races only exist to serve us, dead or alive. After all, I won't let a corpse's potential go to waste." -Nyshla before she raises the body of a recently-dead slave.
The Roekillik. Perhaps one of the most foul and horribly powerful mortal races to ever grace (or perhaps curse) the very face of Norrath. While not the biggest race, Roekillik are stout and sturdy, far more physically powerful than one might expect them to be. In addition to their impressive physical characteristics, Roekilliks also boast horrifying psionic abilities, enabling them to read thoughts and even mind control unfortunate victims, bending them to the will of their new cruel masters. Living deep underground, primarily in The Hole within the continent of Odus, the Roekillik scheme. Plot. Plan. Readying themselves to overtake the surface world of Norrath now that the confines and wards of their prison have broken, enabling them to escape and plague the world. Nyshla Darkbone is a feared necromancer among the Caertaxian Legion, whole swaths of undead ready to be risen at the mere snap of her clawed fingers, and her mere gaze will turn your blood cold if you meet her piercing red eyes. With a dark heart and a mind full of wicked intentions, Nyshla claims she has loyalty for her race and for King Caertax, the Deceiver...but does she really? Nyshla works in secret, having plans to ready herself to be reborn as a fearsome and terrifying, unkillable Lich. With such an endless source of unstoppable power, would she be content to continue idly serving her so-called 'master'? Her 'king'? It's the uncertainty of her future actions that makes this rat all the more terrifying, and it's rumored she is on the verge of performing the transformation ritual. All should beware- for her loyalties will surely hold meager sway if her ascension is successful when and if it happens- and it's an 'if' that borders on total certainty.
Been REALLY getting back into EQ 2, and the Roekillik were one of my favorite races to discover and learn about in EQ 2 in addition to the Othmir. So naturally I spin up Heroforge once again to model more rats! No- these ones AREN'T Skaven! Leave a fav and a watch if you liked, and stay tuned!
