This is the result of me getting hit by a red light runner on 07/30/2021. The lady was driving at least 20 over the posted 40mph and admitted to witnesses, me and the police that she ran the red light (she was heading west on the road and I was heading south on the cross street (with a green light) going to work. I am OK a little shaken, and no injuries, she had her BF and at least two kids in her car. I still have yet to find out if she had valid insurance at the time of the accident. Right now my car is in the shop to be (I hope) repaired and returned to me. Hopefully I should know something about the car by Friday of this week. I think that her car was still drive able but was impounded due to teh lack of insurance. The funny thing is, both vehicles had barely came to a stop, she was out of her car screaming that she was sorry and that she ran the red light and NOT to call the police as she had kids in her car. Well, I never did call the police, witnesses to the accident did.
I will keep you all updated on the car front. Also, I do have a way to get to/from work the next 2-3 weeks. In the event the car does get totaled, I am going top start a GoFund me to raise the cash to get a cash car and to cover any (if at all) difference that my insurance will pay to the owner of the car I was buying.
I didn't scream or yell at the idiot as all that would have done was probably unleashed a rabid bitch.

That depends on what damage was done to the frame. Back in January I ran into a piece of wheel line (a kind of irrigation pipe with a lightweight wheel halfway down the length of the pipe) that had gotten blown into the middle of a rural road pointing towards me. It was early in the morning with no chance to see it first and it shattered the windshield of my Chrysler before bouncing up and putting a great big dent in the edge of the roof of the car. No other real damage, but my insurance company still totaled the car. Fortunately, like you I had full coverage on that car, and it turned out the car was worth a couple hundred dollars more than I still owed on it,
Geeez, No offense but, man you do not have luck with cars, first the pole, now this... At least the majorly good thing is you are alright, cars are replaceable, a person isn't.
As for that lady... Okay, she ran a red light, it happens, but then again she ran a red light WITH KIDS IN THE CAR, 20 over the speed limit AND no insurance... I fear for the kids and the BF as well as you, that woman clearly should be in jail for not only reckless driving but child endangerment.
