A streetscape with fishing buoys, you ask?
Okay okay ya didn't ask...I'm just tellin' ya!
In the little Nova Scotian fishing village where I live, many people decorate their houses' facades with these colourfully painted fishing buoys. Some people even repaint them with quaint images of lighthouses and seascapes, along with their favourite hockey team's logo. Hey -- this is Canada, eh? ;)
They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and each one is unique. Some are made of wood, while others are cork (usually the more rounded ones). Seeing a bunch of them together can be a delightful blend of shapes and colours.
Not only do the painted buoys compliment the bright colours of the old houses, they also lend a decidedly Maritime accent to the scene. Where else do you see ornamental buoys on dry land?
A Crossfolf Camera Presentation. :)
