The sad implications in this are very present, and very powerful. It's just that I can't tell when the man was alive, and when he died.

It's still a great piece though. (Sorry. I don't like to critique people. )

Also, that's a very beautiful thumbnail.

In the poem he never was. It was all his funeral.

An interesting (if sad) concept, and you executed it quite well.

Critique... The line 'We walk for what feels like hours.' doesn't seem to flow quite right to me. Off hand I'm not sure exactly why though.

Definitely a good poem! ^.^

I altered that line 3 times trying to make it work... that was the best outcome and that was how I felt about it too x.x

Yep. I don't know how other poets do it, but I often fiddle with a line until one of three things happens:

I find something I like.

I get something I don't quite like but don't hate.

I throw out the whole stanza in disgust.

Those last two are very popular with me XD
