This is my first piece of ink. It was designed in tandem with the person who did it, as their art skills are superior to my own. I got it approximately 5 months ago. This was take shortly after it was done. Eventually, all 9 tails of this kitsune will be present. I'll be getting one every 10 years, or every tattoo. Currently, it should have 3, since I got my second piece of ink a while ago. When I am 42 and have all my Tats, it will be "matured".
