A friendship poem

I am the sun in your day
I am the moon in your night
You are the warm rays in my morning
You are the shining star in my evening

When you need a pillar to lean on
When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you find yourself alone
When the Shadows are around you

I will be the foundation that keeps you standing
I will be the handkerchief that dries your tears
I will be Polaris, the star that guides you home
I will be the bright lantern that chases the darkness away

Forever shall my fire burn for you
Forever shall our friendship enlighten our lives
For all time, ‘till death do us part
Our friendship is an everlasting inferno

And when the day comes our spirits soar free
My spirit shall find yours
And even in the next life
Friends we shall always be

A poem made entirely for my dear friend  blackspiritwolf for her birthday. Though we only met about 3 years ago, I love her like a sibling. This poem is a full expression of that love.
