It was crudely scribbed on my work notepad. I mainly focused on problem 2. I think I converted it to minutes.
1/165+T2=1/120
But couldn't remember how to divide 1/165 into 1/120. So divided 165 into 120 and got .72 but wasn't sure what to do with that and got lost cause my mind kept wanting to add in "what was the gallons per minute of the hoses", being at work and all. At that point I wasn't even sure if I was going in the right direction.

I'd make a minor edit to your equation:
1/165 + 1/T = 1/120
The amount of time, T, would be in the denominator there. (1 job per T minutes.)
If you have a calculator, an easy way to solve this would be to subtract 1/165 from both sides:
1/T = 1/120 - 1/165
That's 1/440, or as your calculator probably shows, about 0.002272727.
That means T = 440/1 = 440, or 1/0.002272727.
1/165 + 1/T = 1/120
