Kirpich was born on the Finnish-Russian border, and found himself reaching adulthood during the fall of the Soviet Union, which led to massive waves of instability and crime. He eventually got entangled in the organized area of crime, and over the years, worked his way up to become part of the Sovietnik (Support Group of Spies, the other is the Obshchak, or "Security Group of Spies") of a foreign-based operation. He operates along the east coast of the US, and west coasts of the Atlantic.

One day, while carrying files to another end of town, he ended up getting them stolen by mistake, thanks to a a scraggly-looking fox. This worked out in his favor, as he got intercepted later that day and, partly thanks to not having those files, was able to get out of it without any harm coming to his Bratva's operation. He tracked down the hobo to finish business, and got back his files... as well as offering to "forgive" him... in exchange for the fox becoming a partner in the operation.

The fox had one condition: that he be allowed to take his daughter with them as well.
