Isadora and Stella are sisters, both born into the noble house of Cygini. Isa, being the eldest, is set to become the head of the house and take a seat on the council even though she is not particularly suited for it. Through a series of unfortunate events and manipulation, Stella ends up murdering her sister and becoming the sole surviving member of a family she does not particularly like at all.

Isa is my favorite character in the books! She's only really in the prequel, but I really love a tragic character. Stella eventually redeems herself in her own way, but, as far as history is concerned, was a villain forever.
