I am thankful that I could sprite Scarab. I actually admired at a distance... not only because of her comics, but also her impressive art. I especially wanted to do fan-art of Scarab, a character that I always liked and who i slick and chipper. That mean that, when unhid Scarab, I rushed in doing art of him.

One regret is that I did not ge to attack her other characters, but I wa still getting used to ArtFight and spriting, which meant hat I had to prioritise... something important because I was getting very tired near th end of ArtFight. At least there is next year... a time where I a more used to the website.

Here was my first real struggle. Scarab wa supposed to be longer, but I could not retain those proportions without reducing the detail. I decided tha the detail was more important. Besides, I even managed to add the beak feathers this way!

If I were to fix this, I would have made the shading more gradual, especially since what are supposed to be shadows end up suggesting black handclaws, instead.
