Kleintjie was born into the barbaric Komandoo Mob in the same litter as Zora and is pretty much the complete opposite of her sister. While Zora is mean and cunning, Kleintjie is much more gentle and wise. After their ill mother is kicked out of the mob, the two sisters fight for the role of dominant female and Kleintjie initially comes out on top, taking a roving male named Rago as her mate and soon becoming pregnant with a litter of pups. Her time as the Komandoo's dominant female was short lived as after giving birth to her litter, Kleintjie is attacked and beaten into submission by Zora, who then claims the coveted position for herself. Her pups are spared since Zora wasn't pregnant at the time, but she never forgets that Kleintjie had gotten a taste of power and frequently reminds her who was in charge. Kleintjie takes the harsh treatment from her sister in stride, but she is eventually given the opportunity to become a leader once again.

After four roving males from the Udevu manage to join the Komandoo, Zora evicts multiple females from the mob after becoming pregnant again, two of which end up being Kleintjie and her niece, Beza. After being ousted from the mob, the two females team up with an Udevu male named Maili (who had recently been kicked out of the Komandoo by his older half-brother Zahran) and run off together to start a new mob which they name the Khufu. The new mob rapidly began to grow thanks to Kleintjie's success at producing litters and soon became a very large and prosperous mob. After her and Maili's pups are born, Kleintjie chose to abandon the barbaric old ways that her birth mob had practiced, as according to Maili it was something that modern meerkat mobs didn't do anymore. So when her niece Beza ends up having pups while she herself was pregnant, Kleintjie assures her that she and her newborns would be allowed to stay.

After living a long life that was both eventful and exciting, age and deteriorating health finally catch up with Kleintjie and she passes away one day during a harsh drought. The Khufu Mob mourns her passing as while Kleintjie could be fierce at times, she was also very loving and gentle.

EDIT: Changed her name from Kelila to her real world counterpart's name since I found an African translation for it.

Kleintjie briefly appeared in Season 4 of Meerkat Manor as Nikita's younger sister Rosie (though in the UK version of the show she apparently went by her real name) and in a separate documentary called Meerkats 3D where she went by the name Klinky. In my TLK universe she's the mother and grandmother to a few semi-canon meerkats who appear in the T&P cartoon.
