What is known of Puck's background is still largely shrouded in mystery. Some time ago he wandered into the edges of Ballonlea and has since became fascinated by human culture. He likes to learn and write down all he can through observation but often comes to misguided conclusions, he won't try to get answers from humans directly in fear of someone capturing him in a Pokéball. He currently has zero interest in being "enslaved" to any human as he puts it. He's shown to be much more intelligent compared to most other members of his evolution line, such as learning to speak and perform complicated tasks on his own such as writing or cooking. He has a minor dependency on coffee despite the fact the caffeine within acts as a weak poison within both Fairy-types and actual fey.
