It's Shade and Kelvin! I love my tanooki suit. It just gives me the warm fuzzies all over.
Shade manages to get past my copyrighted species by not having a shell and therefor being different enough. I was going to downplay the videogame aspect of his character but I changed my mind when I realized I wanted to see Kelvin in a tanooki suit.

Yeah they care a lot more about people a) pirating the actual games, or b) creating hacked cartridges like happened back in the NES days, that could actually damage the console (eg. one method of bypassing the authentication circuit in the original NES involved creating an artificial power surge to BURN IT OUT.)
