A Summer Poke-Cation! Part 38 Thick Disguises
Naturally, Aether Foundation has a surface of being essentially a pro-medical organization....and then having a seedy center with people researching these Ultra Beast things. I mean...seriously...its like EVERY SINGLE human science or medical place has some shady stuff going on...
Well, I'd like to think SOME of the employees on the surface aren't clued in on what's going on...

Oh yeah! My disguise idea! I mean, the program made people Pokemon, so I figured we could sneak in better with spare outfits!
Had to punch out a few dock workers for that one.....
But at least they fit! Well...for you...mine was kind of bigger than me. And...I can't really see out of this hat....

If I were to apply some loose logic to the proposed question I'd hypothesize that these Aether foundation brand undergarments are thicker in order to maximize absorbency and reduce waste. From their appearance it can surmised that these undergarments are not the reusable variety. Since they are meant to be disposed of after being used it would stand to reason that the Aether foundation would want to reduce the waste produced through the use of these undergarments by making them more absorbent, explaining their greater thickness compared to Az's MAGs.
