The ground was mushy, with each paw step sinking ever so slightly into the mud. Rain had passed by hours ago, but the thick foliage clinged onto every drop of moisture.

  Caiden's fur was gently standing from the humidity, his paws grasping the rubber grips of the rifle. Wet from the passing of leaves. Distant whooping calls and howls echoed throughout the jungle. Small lizards and frogs ran and hopped away. Boasting bright colors to match the plants around.

  Large ears twisting to meet every sound, as his ashy eyes looked around. Despite Venus's reputation, he always considered it the most beautiful. Every color of every variety could be found here. Even in it's shallow seas.

  Moving further in, his ears picked up the sound of running water. Closer to the river, perfect to take in the scenic view.
