This regal dragon is Ellamyriss! She stars as the main character, and narrator, of my ongoing serialized fantasy novel saga, Pledged in Blood. Ellamyriss has spent all her days serving as the last defender of her people's ancestral valley. The other dragons have long fled the advances of the increasingly industrialized human armies, but Ella stubbornly refuses to do the same. Her steadfast adherence to her duty, even in the face of certain doom, has driven her family apart, and left her alone to face the encroaching threat. Until the day she finds a loved one, bleeding out in the snow...

So sets in motion the events of Pledged in Blood, where Ella struggles to forge allies out of enemies, and build an empire for dragons.
