Enhancile: The third most common form of post human, next to mutants and demi humans enhanciles are normal humans or demi humans that underwent a procedure to attain post human abilities. Enhanciles are a recent phenomena as even vigor tonics used by mages in the renaissance were notoriously unreliable. Soviet tissue implants, american cybernetics, new commonwealth technomancy, and european federation behavioral modifications can let an otherwise normal person attain new capabilities and characteristics or enhance existing ones. In the soviet union enhancements are widely available to any citizen that has the time and inclination to get them, outside of the union however it has created an even greater division of rich and poor. Companies across the globe compete to create the next great upgrade in pursuit of “the human 2.0” fueling the current era of intrigue and crime syndicates. Weather it be a wounded soldier looking to get back on the front lines, or a worker looking to make a better living enhancement clinics which are called “Slaughterhouses” advertise their services and in many cases report the results to various corporations. In turn these corporations study the medical records of every patient to find commonalities with how different people react to different procedures and materials. With most enhancement processes there are significant risks to ones life as every enhancile procedure is incredibly invasive and even the most advanced slaughterhouses have some risk to them. Most enhanciles that survive are as a result supremely cocky seeing themselves as innately better than any unaugmented around them. This is especially true in western nations where any form of enhancements are prohibitively expensive in addition to being risky. Military forces in most major nations require some level of enhancement for their infantry as overall war strategy has changed drastically with the advent of super soldiers. Military application is far from the only application of enhancing humans as enhanced work forces can complete projects that would normally take huge machines and armies of workers. There is a darker side to the race to becoming the human 2.0 as slaughterhouses run by crime syndacates try experimental and often fatal enhancement techniques on desperate people seeking to improve their situation.
