While experimenting with my new gouache paints I painted this picture of the Pokemon Lucario in the Disney artist Mary Blair style because I just admire Mary Blair’s art style using the paints and doing it in a simple childlike style, she was like the Alice of the Walt Disney company back then especially since women didn’t have much jobs back then when Walt Disney himself was still around but that’s what is so amazing because Mary Blair was one of the very few women that was the best artists in the Disney studios back in Walt’s days and I decided to paint Lucario because I loved Pokemon ever since I was a kid and wanted to do something a bit different so I decided to paint him in the Mary Blair style.
