'Sure, going with Freyz alone was fine,' both he and her own spouse said when she brought up the idea of going out somewhere without her partner around. 'He's trustworthy enough, right?' Sure, convincing enough stuff, and she'd been around him almost as long as her lover had. Concern never fully left, given he was clearly one of those blood-hungry folk, but surely he wouldn't do anything. Surely.
The most concerning part was that he brought one of his own associates with him, and her? Yeah, that girl didn't sit right in her head. Something screamed bad news. And yet she went along with it anyway, sun only knew why.
Concerns only grew when it was revealed to her that they'd be passing through the woods on the way to the event they were attending - seemingly gratuitously. Alone in the middle of nowhere with a vampire and a fiend, seemed legit. She dared not say anything though. Everything'd be fine as long as Freyz was here, right? He wouldn't do anything himself, and surely he'd... fed himself before showing up at the door.
The girl to her right had been playfully half-mocking her suspicion on the way through, with little reassurances baked into it, but now that they were out here she was for some reason being more directly coddling - if flirtatiously toying with her at the same time.
Ordinarily she'd brush it off or push her away, especially given she knew nothing about her - but something about the way she said it and the look of her face when doing it was sufficiently disarming for her to take flustered pause instead. She was so caught up in it that she didn't even notice the boy behind her come down for a bite.
She predictably gave a quick yelp at the pain of it, and turned to him with a look of abject frustration and ever-slight betrayal. But there was Aeris again with that compelling voice, telling her not to worry about it as her face was gently pulled back forward. She listened; She wanted to listen. Before long she'd mostly forgotten the vampire was even there; her thoughts too focused on the goddess in front of herself - her eyes, her touch, and her gently commanding tone.
It finally occurred to her what was going on, but by now there wasn't much she could do. All it took was a few more rosy words and she relaxed herself - leaning herself in towards her mistress, opening her neck wide for her other companion to continue unimpeded.
"That's a good girl," she distantly heard, and hearing it made her more contented than she'd been all night. And in the thrall of this pair, it would be a long and interesting one indeed now.
When your partner's best friend is a sort-of-vampire, who himself has a goddess lover who's a bad influence.
She'll be fine, don't worry about it.
Halloween sort-of-YCH piece from last year that I forgot to put up, featuring charas from myself, abyssalThaumaturge and Ajna. It's fall now, I can put up spooky if I want.
All three of the parties involved wrote their own accompanying piece; I did the story above, not that it's all that good - be sure to look at their versions.
