A storm of likes Ive never seen before just passed us. Hailstones of size of a golf ball rained from the sky for 10 minutes, almost breaking a window in my room. Other windows were not wo lucky, nor were the cars outside... all covered with holes after intense bombardnent...
Note the largest one on the right. Its already a bit melted, so you can imagine the size of those things... 7 centimeters tops (2.5 inches)

it could of been alot worse... i remember back in 1988 (i know it s a very long time ago and probably before some of you lot were even conssived) where i used to live we had a very similar incident were hailstones as big as gofl balls fell out of the sky... i do not knot the extent of the damage as i was too young to know at the time.
Holy crap those things are big. Shows just how scary Mother Nature can be a times. The big ones are fascinating though, despite the damage.
The biggest ones I ever held in my hand were about an inch, when I was sleeping at my grandfathers house when I was a kid. Knocked the stones right off the roof and made holes in the garden 4 inches deep. But that was a loooooooooong time ago.
