May 2019...Memorial Day weekend. That was the last con of any type, I had been to, due to what was going on with the world in 2020. A lot of us grew weary even as to what our next con was going to do. As friends, we all agreed the next con we wanted to do was to break away and try something new. GalaxyCon Raleigh recently changed their name from Raleigh SuperCon and was getting a lot of attention. In 2019, we decided to give it a shot that next year.

Then that next year came...and she shut down...not once, but twice. The first time, GalaxyCon was actually rescheduled for later that year in December, hoping that things would ease up...but that was not the case. December came and went and the dates had to be pushed back that second time. Now it was back in July of 2021.

July 2021 came and final words were "mask mandate". They pushed through. Attendance was capped, Saturday was practically sold out, but yeah! We made it! Almost two years later, GalaxyCon was back...and I was there.

This picture was taken at a photoshoot taken by my mate. I was literally the only one there. A wrestling cosplay photo op. I still got pics too. To me, this was the best photo. Not only that, but MAN...this con easily saw the MOST TOO SWEETs I gave out. From someone in the registration line, to photo ops, to even walk bys...what I call "Drive By Too Sweets"...I can say for a fact I hadn't ever given out this many prior to this event. And to cap it all off...I even got to meet some of my childhood proteges...Professional Wrestlers Rick and Scott Steiner, to The Total Package Lex Luger. Seeing Lex wearing red while I'm in my red and black nWo shirt and then hearing him proudly call out "Wolfpac in the house!!", still makes me smile. We didn't work that out to be like that. That was just fate.

I'm over the PCD now...this was the best con I've been to now. I felt like I was at a con I will come back to more and more. To which I say...they were right. When we work together to overcome adversity staring us eye to eye, we power through.
