In preparation for her upcoming performance, Visenya decided to take a quiet moment with her spellbook away from her companions. If she performed admirably, she and her party could earn an audience with this town's nobility. Not about to let her friends down, she opened the arcane tome and centered herself, finding that stillness of mind needed for shaping the flow of magic. As she flipped through the pages, she decided an a third tier spell. As she began the incantation, she harnessed the flow of energy within herself. Each breath in and out like the tides, her hand weaving the correct hand gestures like the flow of the river. As the last word of the casting escaped her lips, her eyes snapped open, the moonlight giving them an even more icy shine. Water poured forth from her hand and rose from the ground in front of her, forming a massive flowing wall ten feet in height. Holding her concentration, she began tapping into the most basic of hydromancy as shapes and colors shifted through small sections of the wall. A purple manta ray, a black shark, a swirling sea serpent.
She gasped as the sudden hand on her shoulder startled her and the watery wall fell to the ground. "You really shouldn't be so worried." The rough bass filled voice belonged to her dragonborn companion Euphredes, a bronze scaled paladin of Bahamut. She nodded and tilted her head to look back at him. "I know, it's just that a lot hangs on this." Removing his hand he smiled at her and started back towards camp. "You'll do fine Vis. We believe in you." The words brought her more comfort than she would admit. Proud of herself for taking the time to practice, she too returned to the camp for a night's rest.
