This is cooool~ But, ah, I *do* have to say I'm pretty sure the uvula and soft pallet isn't that floppy/limp? It makes a seal against the back of the throat so stuff can't sneak up into the nasal passage~ >w> From the point of view of the prey, the uvula actually will disappear during gulping! Yeeaaaaa, I still like uvulas way too much. I, ah, hope you don't mind! ^^; I love discussing this sorta stuff.
This is true! But I ended up making it not as tight as I wanted to and didn't wanna have to redraw a bunch of parts and frames, so I ended up making it more of a relaxed gulp, like letting the mouse slip through and then gulping
You're right though! If it wasn't an animation I would have redrawn parts to make it look like there was less space and it squished everything even more, and there are other things like the trachea movements that aren't as detailed because it's an animation

Hmm! Looking at it with that in mind, that makes sense. uwu It's easy enough to push something into your throat without actually moving the muscles in the soft pallet if you practice it... at least... I can.... *derps* And I do rather like the floppiness in a way~ That's part of the appeal of a uvula to me in the first place. A dynamic floppy bit that sometimes wiggles around after the swallow. Sorry if I'm rambling~ X3
