
[8/15/10] I wish the flexi lead connected to Wizard had been going straight back so that it was parallel to the reflections of the metal bars. This would have been a competition quality shot. Ah well...

In that case, the photo would consist of a bridge and nothing else, as the huskies would be long gone...
They are not a breed for off-leash, sadly. They are single-minded and running to them is both natural and effortless. They would eventually tire of following whatever they were following and wonder where you were and want very much to get back to you, but by that time they would be 4 miles away with no idea how they got there.
I've known maybe one or two huskies in a lifetime I would have trusted off-leash, and even that only in very specific and limited situations.
