First image is Mocha after we got her home. She's so high on morphine she can barely stand, and she's wobbly and falling all over her cage.

Seen in the picture is some of the incision site, with staples and stitches around her neck.

Later that night, in the second picture, she's still pretty high. She's cleaning her hands after eating some paper towels - we replaced the towel with bread so she'd eat food not paper. She was happy as a pig in shit, or a rat with bread!

Bottom left, Mocha's 2nd day - after returning from the vet and her long night of having an open chest wound and arm. She tore her stitches open while she was still high on morphine, not feeling the pain she continued until her chest staples were mostly removed. We did some fast rat first aid until we could get her to the vet in the morning. She's got new stitches and staples, and a fancy new vest fashioned out of ace bandages and a matching collar!

Last picture, Mocha yesterday (8/14/2010). Bright eyed and 'get this thing offa me mommy!'. She scratches at it but generally, she knows its there for a good reason. Feeling much better!

Stitches come off in a little over a week! =)
