Got the pic done.
About this Pic
One thing I found most interesting about leopards is that they can pull their heavy pray up a tree and they also sleep in the trees. So I was looks at some pictures of leopards sleeping in trees on the net, and boy their was a hole lot of them. Then I got into thinking how Nestor would look sleeping in a tree giving that he is a leopard.
Art process
I started to sketch the image on my sketch pad and once I got what I wanted I inked it. From the last post you can see how the inking was done. It took an two hours to complete it from pencil to ink.
The next day I put it through the scanner and cleaned it and darken the lines so it’s ready for the Art Rage software. I was messing around with the color to see what will work and figuring out the shading.
It took another two hours to do this cause I was working on other art pics at the same time, I was multitasking like crazy.
Final Thoughts
This turn out to be a good one, I get to do more working with Nestor building his animal behavior and working with backgrounds. I my do some more work with backgrounds with my characters when a new idea pops in my head.
Here I put up both the Ink and digital color version of this work.
Tools I use:
Alvin Draft/Tec Retrac Mechanical Pencil 0.7mm/blue barrel with HB lead
Eraser
Skecth Book
Paint Brush
Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India Inks
Program used:
Canon MultiPass F50 Scanner
ArtRage
