A red warning light flashes through the compound, illuminating Vex's fur. Bouncing off his rifle as he rushed through the facility. Metal beneath his paws, running and huffing. Scratches adorned his face from shrapnel, as he felt a gentle sting of pain in his chest. His armor absorbed the bullet, and most of the force of it. But it was still enough for him to feel the pain.

  He knew Io was dangerous but this? This wasn't worth the money, these pirates were organized. Too organized. He knew he shouldn't have gone alone, and now he was in shits deep with no one to watch his back. As long as he could make it outside, he could make it to his ship. Tell his employer to piss off, forget the job.

  He could hear paws and boots running behind him, as he took turns and twists. Back tracking through the pirate base. Trying to desperately find an exit, or at least a door to lock behind him to slow them down.

                       FWEEEEEW!

  Damn! That one whizzed by his head, they were onto him. But the door was near, as he turned. Returning some fire while back tracking. The door pushing open to reveal a sickly yellow landscape, and the smell of sulfur. Enough to make anyone wince in disgust. Volcanos and gysers ruled this land, second were the pirates. As now Vex started a full blown sprint. Seeing his ship making an emergency landing to pick him up.

  Almost there! Almost there! Nearing the ship, he felt a searing pain in his side. Looking down to see red staining his armor, and a decent sized hole in him.

  'Thats not good-' He thought.
