I like the Van Gogh-esque "Starry" sky in the background, but it took me awhile to figure out that the dark form in the center left of the image was a lake and a river, or a road leading to a clearing. My first impression was that she was clutching a long dead, and very black rose. Still, your pencil work is far more expressive than mine is.
Well that yes but I meant the WHOLE background. Trees, balcony, sky, ect. I think one of the first things that drew me to your art other than your love of vampires and cute mice was that you did backgrounds. I've always loved a good background and you did, still DO. some of the best around.
