PREVIOUS PART 6
This was done by Ems you can find her on https://twitter.com/deadlydownpour on twitter or https://www.instagram.com/_deadlydownpour/ she was the person who originally helped me get Zorrena drawn and it was nice to work with her again. This is her interpretation of this moment in my little story.

Story up to this point
After being raised back as an undead creature and attacking the town she was defending Zorrena managed to regain her consciousness and began fighting through undead to find what was causing them in the first place.
At the same time Edward the leader of the town guard using Mof to get an aerial view of the forest managed to discover a cave entrance in a mountain nearby where they seemed to be coming from. He then began to gather up some of the guard and was preparing to leave during the day to get to the mountain as quickly as possible. However Tala had another plan she suggested that they could use Mof to carry a large group over to a location near the cave and in a few trips leave many people willing to fight there. So they constructed a small platform for Mof to carry and he began to make trips back and forth delivering anyone willing. On his final trip he took Tala who was loaded up with various potions and vials to assist anyone as needed, Maya grabbed her staff and awaited her chance, Ember not willing to let this chance slip by waited near her, and Roxy holding Zorrena's axe that had been cut down to her size and ring on her tail was ready as well.
After dropping them off Mof took back to the skies to watch in case he needed to get someone out of there or they needed an escape. As the group of 50 people marched towards the cave they began meeting resistance. Even with everyone fighting the best they could some eventually began to fall to which Maya or Tala would take care of them and have Mof carry them back to town. As they finally made it to the cave one of the guard attempted to peer in but was immediately brought to their knees as they yelled in pain and then grabbed their throat and began choking. Another pulled him away and everyone stood back from the entrance once able the man said once he got past the entrance it felt like a massive spike in his head and then something caused him to choke. Edward figured it was some sort of spell or poison and would need to be dealt with.
Maya being their best shot took position near the entrance and began chanting and running down every dispel magic should knew. As she did this seemed to cause the undead already outside the cave to go into a frenzy and begin charging the group. Ember seeing this spread her arms out as they engulfed in flames and summoned a wall of fire to help slow them and burn them as they charged. Tala not seeing a better time coming began throwing out a few vials that shattered on some of the larger monsters and began to immediately cause them to melt as the various mixtures chewed through them bringing them down.

From the distance Zorrena heard the sounds of battle and began running over when she saw the wall of fire she knew who was there and most likely why. The others had managed to find the cause. As she got closer she noticed a massive amount of abominations all running through the fire and by the sounds most didn't make it through especially knowing Embers penchant for the flame. Taking a step back she sprinted as fast as she could and threw herself through the flame letting out a cry of pain as some of her armor began to heat up as she landed she threw off the pieces that were simply too hot to bare. Then taking a quick survey she saw the others all fighting as Maya stood in the back seemingly casting a spell on a cave entrance. Assuming that was the cause she ran past everyone as fast as she could while a few noticed her and began to turn she slipped past and into the cave. As she made her way down the stench of rot permeated the air and at the bottom of this cave was a skeleton holding a staff seemingly waiting for her.
(I don't know how to do conversations or stories well but basically the skeleton is a lich and mocks her for coming and she calls it a monster and challenges it to a fight)
(I also cant do battle scenes well as you may have noticed earlier but they basically battle and Zorrena takes some major damage as it casts various spells and is quite good in melee however she manages to grab its staff and throw it away without the staff the Lich has no weapon and Zorrena is able to close in and smash its skull with her hammer and then makes sure to smash the bones some more)
