A moderate sized subspecies, Rainforest Cusige dwell within treetop homes. They’ve got a sustainable economy, and barter between themselves. While this may be true, and while their houses are all built connected by bridges, Rainforests are actually quite reclusive.
Couples will pair off to mate, and then leave each other. Some rarely pair for life. Business is handled swiftly and sternly. When a baby is born whichever parent carried it will take care of it. That is, only if it’s deemed worthy enough.
Since households tend to keep to 1-3 children, since they’re almost always single parents, Rainforests will abandon, kill, or devour any weak or “ugly” children. Sometimes even banishing already grown children in favor of a newborn sibling.
Communication with them is possible, as are trades, but one should not let their guard down around them for an extended period of time. Rainforests are still deep in their bloodlust and would not bat an eye at eating their neighbor or child, let alone you.
