A rare and newly discovered subspecies of cusige. Depths are almost always pure in blood and are hardly ever seen mixing in with any other societies. Vicious, troublesome, and calculated, they’re quite the opponent. Old folklore about sirens and killer mermaids may very well have stemmed from this very bloodline.
With transformation powers stronger than any of the other races, Depths can even change their voices. Stealing voices from people they’ve killed or singing honey sweet songs on the sea breeze to lure in new prey.
It’s believed they live in a large society built out of stolen technology and sunken ships in the deepest parts of the oceans. Children have been spotted, but only newborns. Even these youngest members seem to have scars, so it’s thought that it must be a type of ritual they partake in. It’s not known if they got this tradition from Oasis Cusige or the other way around.
They not only have scented lures, but they’re bioluminescent as well.
