VioletNeko, this is the scene towards the end of Spectrum, where Pete and the soldiers have come to try to reacquire Blue to use her for their purposes. Kelvrin has ordered her to stop Violet and protect the resistance, and having no choice but to obey, Blue begins to battle the vixen. During the fight, Blue drives a broken piece of wood through her chest, killing her.
Violet's death causes the enemy to retreat at the loss of one of their superweapons, and Blue sheds a tear at the death of a victim, like her.

I'm glad it had an impact. I was just sort of mapping out the fight scene in my head, and it seemed like the only way it could end was for Violet to be one of the unlucky few that didn't survive. It seemed to fit, as it gave Lauren an opportunity to show there was still a piece of her inside.
It was a near tear jerker moment for me, hehe, but I'm just a big softy for furry characters.
Still it did serve the purpose of showing Lauren was still aware of what was going on, at it kind of made the viewer realize that these super soldiers were forced to watch themselves kill people for ten years!

It was definitely part of the point to try to evoke some emotion. ;) I put a lot of passion into selecting the right dialogue, characters, and so on so it's more than just a story with furry characters, I like it to be something that makes you feel pride when the good guys win, sadness when someone dies, and provides characters you can love even if they're evil. ;) I like to put together complete universes, and it's nice to know it's working. ;)
Part 1 was definitely about revealing that there was more to these weapons than was at first suspected. ;) Of course, Blue ended up staring at the same view for a decade, until you opened the box. :)
