We're on the cusp of the 10 year anniversary of his passing in October.
Ten. Years.
Still feels like yesterday that I heard the news, so many things are different now, but the pain is still the same. I often time sit back and wonder how he would react to seeing the fandom in its current state, or how big Bad Dragon has become. I wonder how differently his art style would be now if he survived, if his relationship with Narse would've continued to develop. Would Athus and Narse drift apart? Or more than likely stay together, their incredible bond is unbreakable, even in death.
We should all aspire and strive to be even a fraction of the wonderful person Athus was, his loving and encouraging belief to see those around him evolve and be better was infectious.
