We launch towards the grocery store, scoping out the situation and preparing to side with Kestrel's Rebels. Along the way, we have a flashback to see Kestrel's second in command become So Fluffy, and fix the poor coupon machine in the parking lot. Votes:
Mr. Tweed: Stop It, Encourage It, Rally the Police, or Killsteal.
Hostility: Evacuate, Stall, Support(current option), Preemptive Strike(choose tactics).
Battle Goals: Make a Statement, Drive Them Back, Total Victory, Make Allies, or Abduct/Abscond.
Kestrel continues to be Twokinds. What if Clovis was a TF villain instead of a mafia boss?

tanidareal ; I left the fox in because it's a good show of Kestrel vs. Tundra.
The next episode will be a GRATUITOUS TF sequence showing many of the TFs that happened in the store. It's very raunchy, and thus quite separate from the cleaner main story. It's good though. Udders. Mascots. Tailsplosions.
Job situation is looking better! I aced not one, but two interviews. We're now in that really, really awkward phase of "we have to send this to the CEO, and then back to management, and then to HR, and THEN we can hire you", so I am still quite short on money for the 4-7 days this process will take.
Shoutouts to the company that had me write a paper explaining how to solve TowersOfHanoi for N pins. If you're a programming person, you can go "oooh" and "that's a job interview question fuuuuuck". If you're not, just smile and nod that this is a problem that has no actual best solved answer for it, despite decades of research.
In any case, donations are greatly appreciated. We're at the home stretch! We just have to have a home by the time the stretch is done. *sonic drowning noises*

Rally the Police and Stall. We want this to not escalate too much while keeping relations with factions positive or at least neutral (except for Mordecai's Spartans; they can yiff themselves). Ultimately, we want this to be about Making a Statement, where we are to show that the transformative community is here to stay, and that they should accept it.
Honestly, I'm starting to think Kestrel isn't so different from our party. I'm not regretting voting for siding with the police, though, even if I was outvoted by a hair in the end.
Mr. Tweed: Stop it. This is a provocative action that'll most likely result in a firefight, and that'd be bad. Rallying the Police probably wouldn't work; what respectable lawman would accept "the victim was a jerk" as a defense?
Hostility: Stall. Diplomacy is our best option here. Deceiving or directly attacking the police will put us on a list we don't want to be on, and TFing anyone who shoots will just escalate the situation.
Goals: Either Make a Statement or Make Allies, perhaps both. I would prefer not to treat the police as the antagonists (at least not until it's conclusively proven to be so), and we wouldn't be the bigger person if we just plundered the best assets from the conflict.

I read the description first got nerd-sniped with N-pins Towers of Hanoi. I can regurgitate the algorithm for three pins without too much thought, but N-pins is an interesting problem. The extra freedom really does complicate the optimal solution, but I think I got it.
Where was I? Oh right.
Tweed: Tough one. I agree with SI that Rally the Police is unlikely to work, but we have an Igloo of Friendship on our side. I think it's worth going for it. Let's not call it "corrupting the police", let's just call it "educating the police". If we can win over a senior officer right now, that would be huge.
Hostility: Stall. Even if we don't talk down everyone, we make our faction's goals clear and perhaps incite some doubt in other factions.
Goals: Make a Statement. Not many people know of us or Kestrel's Krew. We need to garner as much popular support as possible right now. Actually, what about absolutely staying out of the firefight, to maximize our chance for a TV interview later.

I like the police, and want to make sure they understand the world is now changing. So Rally the police and Stall
In the case that we fail to prevent hostilities or if we can do this in a way that doesn't worry every one I am honestly torn between both Make a statement and make Allies. I would be fine with either or both but I think I prefer make a statement slightly more as the civilians are probably where we are going to get most of our recruits from.

Hoo boy. I'd love to tell Kestral to Stop It, we can resolve this later when people with guns aren't out in force. But even if Kestral would compromise on that, she probably doesn't want to abandon this highly defensible and magically volatile supermarket. So we should prepare for the worst, but a pre-emptive strike wouldn't sit well with Leon. Let's try Rally and Stall, with Dawn and Beast ready to charge should diplomacy break down. Ask the police how they feel about this guy's intention to have them march into that magical fire vortex. Remind the police that TFing somebody isn't explicitly against the law. Maybe gently point out to them this man's overconfidence is bordering on suicidal.
I vote for Make Allies as our goal. The best way to accomplish that may be Drive Them Back, and that's hunky dory with me.

Tweed: Encourage it. This is exactly the sort of person that we don't want anymore in the world, and treating him with kid gloves because he's rich and comfortable is exactly what we're here to stop.
Hostility: Pre-Emptive Strike. If we pinky swear to never, ever change anyone who doesn't ask for it, they'll still drag us off to jail alongside Kestral if they ever think they have the chance to do so without risking themselves. This is going to end violently, so let's start it with transformations - besides, the more police officers we change, the less are going to get involved in fighting either us or Kestral. It could be argued that we're rescuing them by changing them - who knows what's going to happen once Kestral gets vicious. As for what they should become... well, I'm not sure about that. Uh. We have Dawn here - maybe set up a Karmictransformation for the first ones who attack with turning their weapons (and ideally them) into something cute and fluffy?
Goals: Make a Statement. (But only if Total Victory seems conclusively out of reach, which it almost certainly is.) In this case, the statement is that guns and money are no longer the power that rules the world, and people can embrace that or run from it.

I personally think Stop and Stall are our best options here, given the igloo of friendship, but if we can't stop the tf, we could atleast try to rally the police and prevent the place from becoming a battle ground, and we should try to make a statement I feel, for future recruiting, allies, and keeping the general population of civilians from wanting to put an end to our faction
