The wandering soul turns 26 today
Hey fellas, its my birthday today πππ
For this reason I hope all of you have a great day!
I actually felt like doing a very personal piece, though it might not seem like it from the first glance β¨. This is a throwback to one of my most memorable experiences, a sunset at San Pedro de Atacama in Chile, two years ago. Honestly, I fell in love in the moonlike landscape of the desert, the amount of shapes and colour that it offers, how quickly it changes, the mindblowing spaciousness and long hours of driving through the void. Not just the chilean side, but also the Andean mountains by the bolivian border and the national park that was there, and the Salar de Uyuni, as well. Before visiting, I never thought that I would feel this way. I've visited so many places but I think this is my personal favourite. This is life, it is allowing yourself to be surprised.
I think that travels have forged the person and the artist that I am today, just discovering beauty and the diversity of the landscapes and the cultures across the globe is very inspiring, very enriching but also very hubling. This is most likely the reason, why I started to enjoy drawing backgrounds so much, to be able to recreate some experiences I've had but also to start imagining new ones. I wish myself for more possibilities of travels and personal growth.
And I got back into a voyaging mindset because if noting bad happens (due to covid or so) I'll be going to Mexico next month for two weeks, but not to lay on Yucatan all this time but to experience the capital, Oaxaca and Chiapas states, and Yucatan as well. I cant express how excited I am, if I am not working on art I am researching Mexico I can give you that π€£ I've already given up travels to Australia 2020 and to Indonesia just now because of the recent outbreak, I just want to do a long-distange voyage so bad right now, Chile was the last one I managed to do.
I will be posting a speedpainting of this piece for my Patrons later today!
But then I double checked with my photos and I did the volcano in a horisontal flip, accidentally πI drew that from memory entirely, so this is what happens sometimes! The volcano I drew in the picture is Licancabur;

I wish you a year full of fun and strength. Full of joy and joy. And everyone who smiles at you. I wish you a world of all the best and full of light. Full of love and friendship. And a smile on your face. I wish you all. No tears, no worries, no pain. And that makes it a great birthday. A birthday on which you can be happy. π¦πππ
