
This was only made to be raw geometry with a formatted UV map, so the rest of the texturing, weight painting, etc. process could be done by its receiver. Have to say, this was one of the harder meshes done, largely down to explicitly not usually shooting for this kind of realism along with not being as familiar with jackals as I am other species, at least not to a extent that would allow for proper 'realistic' shape. In the end, it didn't turn out entirely horribly. The hands in particular I'd like to think came out particularly well.
If it looks a bit odd, especially for being a jackal, it's because it was modeled with the intent of having some form of fur solution, or at least a fur shader when it comes to something real time. So in effect, as it is it's really a shaved jackal.
