It's been a while since I did one of these. Too long, in fact! When I read the word for this week's prompt, my immediate idea was to write about a college student who was dreading and contemplating their upcoming birthday, feeling anxious and uncertain for the future. But I wanted to write something a little more fun and playful, the original idea just didn't feel right. Then I thought for a moment on what the word "twenty" brought to mind. Inevitably, money came to mind and I almost dismissed it because I didn't want to write something cynical, but that actually gave way to the more playful idea I wanted: I recalled when $20 seemed like a lot more money than it does now, and how it felt to indecisively scour the toy aisle, unsure of what I wanted, but certain that I could at least get one or two things that I would've been happy with!

So this short little story follows a young gecko who's just received birthday money, his indecisiveness, and his dad's insane suggestion as to what he could do with his money!
