Phraedus has been reworked, his old more illithid design being retconned into one of the void lords. I felt it just didnt fit his theme of the dangers of predatory nature of the wilds. Instead we now have a gnoll diety covered in grim trophies gifted by his worshipers and ready for conflict. Phraedus is not necessarily an evil god, though he constantly tests mortals and cull the weak and ensure that the strong survive and prosper as is nature's way.
