These are commissions that I got a while back from Bad-Pierrot over on deviantArt, of Kiki and Ursula from Kiki's Delivery Service. He did the line art, I did all the color and stuff.

Well, I wouldn't get a pic of Arrietty dressed skimpy; she's a kid. But I can see how you'd make that comparison. As brilliant and visually imaginative as Hayao Miyazaki is, Studio Ghibli does have a stable of character designs that they tend to tweak and cycle through. XD
