This piece was originally for the 2009 werewolf calendar, but I decided to paint it as a winter scene. After finishing the background I realized my month for the calendar was June! Opps, ended up having to do a complete new one since it usually does not snow in summer. ;) In the end when I got the chance I was able to finish this piece.

Oh gosh I just love snow! This brings back so many memories to me, I just moved to North Carolina from Connecticut and I must say how very much I miss the snow. There is something calming and soothing about it, and you conveyed that amazingly here. The wolf looks so peaceful, and the detail on the fur is beautiful. The background blows me away as well, just like wandering around the mountains of the north making your way through the snow. Gorgeous.
