The anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was at the beginning of this month, and I couldn't help thinking of the Pink Floyd lyric from 'Mother'. Although the lyric was a product of Cold War paranoia, the sentiment is similar.
I wanted to go for something a bit heraldic with this one, so there's a certain amount of symbolism here which I had great fun with.

Was it? When they scripted the flick they decided to mix in WWII imagery and have Pink freak out in classic '30s/'40s fascist style. It was obviously on their minds if they were recording stuff like "When the Tigers Broke Free."
Admittedly, the album came first, Tigers wasn't on it, and they doubtless retconned a bit.
