Old man - Vulpvibe electro disco cover
So as if I haven't bombarded you enough with old crap from my hard drive, here's the electro Disco version of the song Old Man. Originally made by Vulpvibe.
The original can be downloaded from Halley Labs website in their archive which you can find here: https://heckscaper.com/backcat/cata.html
The song is on the album called detergent.
I really enjoy playing with vocal effects and Vocoders, Autotune and Talkboxes are among my absolute favourites. :)
I'd love to own a hardware Vocoder for my rack, that'd be so cool but those things are expensive as fuck nowadays. -.-'
But I'd also love to own a talkbox one day because the effect is friggin' cool. >.<' But yeah, uhm, so this song gave
me the opportunity to play around with Vocoder Plugins. I made this song back in 2019 but put it aside and just
recently stumbled across it and did some final tweaks to the mix and arrangement. Again I'm not very good at
mastering so you guys will have to turn it up a bit. I'm sure your soundsystem will be able to do that. ;) Right?
Have fun and thanks for the listen.
ps. If anyone knows how you can get rid of those "pops" when working with vocoders, let me know. I'm working
with Cubase and I'm using a vocoder setup where I route a vocal track and synth into a group and the notes
are controlled by a midi track. If someone has experienced that problem as well, I'd love to hear. ^^ If anyone's
curious I'm using the free vocoder plugin from MDA.
