The very heavy duty pilot suit worn by Ebrian space mobile suit pilots. It contains numerous layers, including a gel layer for protection against heat and impacts. Functionally it’s similar to something like an ACES suit, with a few extra bits to increase G tolerance. The neck is also armored, with the inner layers being cushioned in order to serve as a neck brace. A ballistic vest which contains survival equipment is also worn, with the backpack containing everything from oxygen to a life raft and even an attached parachute in case of reentry. The helmet is equipped with a built in oxygen mask and additional armor in order to protect the wearer.

Unsurprisingly, all this kit is quite heavy to wear and is significantly more than what ground based pilots are equipped with. Though there wouldn’t have to be much in the way of movement once strapped into their mobile suit’s cockpit. And of course, zero-gravity helps as well.

In the event of an emergency reentry, the cockpit pod is ejected and encased in a foam (quite similar to the MOOSE system, just a bit bigger) in order to help the pilot survive entry into a planet’s atmosphere. Once clear, the pilot is ejected from the pod. Either manually, or automatically.
