"The thing about light, is it can either guide you back home...or blind you enough that you never see it again. Paula told me that..right before she fell."
REED O'SAURESSY, SERGEANT DETECTIVE OF TOKYO POLICE, COMMUNITY SAFETY DIVISION
Born on the eastern coast of the USA, Sauressy used to love the sea of his home. But 20 years ago he moved to Japan, hoping a different ocean can wash away his bitter heart, and give him a new life.

Tons of cheating for this drawing. Sometimes it's much easier to find a photo of a lighthouse (licensed to be used of course), play around with the colors and the light, add a ton of filters to it, and bam, instant background. Yeah it's a cop out, which is funny when you take into account the theme of the drawing, but that's how you do with this. Cheating my way through a drawing! Woops.
Do you guys remember George C. Scott? He was an excellent actor, and I miss him a lot. I based the look of this character on George C. Scott, specifically on how he looks in "The Exorcist III: Legion", where he's sad and depressed for most of the film. He's got a lot of tired and busted energy, almost like he's given up in life. I don't know why I went with it, but I'm pretty glad I did.
Please, let me know what you think of it in the comments. I appreciate every single one I receive.
