Comms from the front were chaotic as Jaakko marched across the scorched earth under him as rounds buzzed by him from all directions, his fleet hammering away at the enemies positions while his mechanized forces landed and smashed through their lines. The smoke and dust in the air was thick enough to see the laser from his custom rifle as he fired back hitting his target with ease. A round pinged off his plate singeing it as he pushed forward. The LZ was secure and the landing shuttles were dropping off reinforcements across the battle torn fields. Pods rained from above behind enemy lines as an accelerator cannon round struck a building off in the distance causing a massive explosion sending debris in all directions. As the dust cleared cheers from his men were all that could be heard as they marched into the now desolate city hearing screams from those caught in the blast and sporadic gunfire as he commanded his troops from the front. The blitz was quick and ruthless as his forces pushed further in. As they came to their final objective they dismounted their IFV's and moved to clear the remaining automated defenses within the heart of the direlict base that they chose to take for themselves. Hours passed as Jaakko lead his mean hallway to hallway room to room clearing all they came across. It was mainly robots and automated turrets but for some reason they felt uneasy about portions of the base that would later be sectioned off or put into a controlled collapse agaist a foe that had already set its home in the burrows of the industrial base that they had worked so hard to take.


I plan on expanding on this story a bit in the future and dropping some edits to clear it up a bit. I've been extremely stressed to where it was honestly difficult for me to write this so please don't mind the grammar and just enjoy it for what it is.
